RedBox Rx Terms of Sale
Effective Date for new customers: August 3, 2026
Effective Date for customers with pre-existing accounts: August 15, 2026
RedBox Rx is a service of Hy-Vee, Inc., and prescription orders submitted through RedBox Rx are dispensed by Hy-Vee’s mail-order pharmacy. These RedBox Rx Terms of Sale (“Terms of Sale”) govern your creation of a RedBox Rx online account and purchase of products and services through RedBox Rx, including prescription fulfillment, automatic refills, billing, shipping, cancellations, returns, refunds, and related fees. These Terms of Sale supplement the RedBox Rx Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, HIPAA Notice, Telemedicine Consent, and any other applicable terms presented to you in connection with RedBox Rx services. To the extent there is a conflict, these Terms of Sale control with respect to purchases, payment, refills, shipping, returns, refunds, and related fees.
By placing an order, paying for a prescription fill, enrolling in or receiving automatic refills, or continuing to use RedBox Rx services after the Effective Date, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Sale.
1. Account Information and Single Account Requirement
You must provide and maintain complete, current, and accurate information in connection with your RedBox Rx account, including your legal name, shipping address, payment information, and any other information requested by RedBox Rx. You are solely responsible for maintaining accurate account, payment, treatment, and shipping information at all times. You agree to keep your username confidential and to log out from your RedBox Rx account at the end of each session. RedBox Rx explicitly disclaims liability for any and all losses and damages arising from your failure to comply with this section. You may not use anyone else’s account at any time or allow another person to use your account.
Each patient may create and maintain only one (1) RedBox Rx account. Creation, maintenance, or use of more than one account for the same patient is prohibited. If RedBox Rx determines or suspects that multiple accounts exist for the same patient, RedBox Rx may, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, suspend or terminate one or more accounts, merge account records, cancel pending orders, restrict access to services, or take any other action it deems appropriate.
RedBox Rx is not responsible for errors, delays, failed deliveries, shipments to outdated or incorrect addresses, missed notifications, duplicate refill processing, or other issues arising from inaccurate account information or the existence of multiple accounts for the same patient.
2. Choice of Pharmacy
If a licensed health care provider writes you a prescription through RedBox Rx, you may have the prescription filled by Hy-Vee’s mail-order pharmacy or by a pharmacy of your choice. You are not required to use Hy-Vee’s mail-order pharmacy.
If you elect to fill your prescription through Hy-Vee’s mail-order pharmacy, the cost of the medication will be included in the charges processed through your RedBox Rx account. If you elect to use another pharmacy, you will be responsible for paying that pharmacy directly for the medication, and additional fees may apply as described in the “Pricing and Fees” section below.
3. Orders and Payment Authorization
By submitting an order, you authorize RedBox Rx and its payment processors to charge the payment method associated with your account for all amounts due in connection with your purchase, including, as applicable, medication charges, provider fees, shipping charges, expedited shipping charges, dispensing fees, handling fees, taxes, reprocessing fees, and any other disclosed charges.
RedBox Rx reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order at any time, including due to inaccurate information, duplicate accounts, suspected fraud, inventory limitations, legal or regulatory restrictions, safety concerns, or any other reason permitted by law.
4. Pricing and Fees
Your order total may include, where applicable, charges for medication, provider services, consultations, dispensing, handling, shipping, expedited shipping, taxes, reprocessing, and other fees disclosed in your account, at checkout, on the RedBox Rx website, or otherwise in connection with your purchase. You are not obligated to use RedBox Rx to fill your prescription, however, if you select another pharmacy, you will be charged the full price for the visit fee. If at any time you transfer your prescription from RedBox Rx to another pharmacy, you authorize RedBox Rx to charge your payment method on file for the full price for the visit fee that was previously reduced based on selecting RedBox Rx as the filling pharmacy.
RedBox Rx may add, remove, modify, or update pricing, fees and charges at any time, to the extent permitted by law, by posting updated pricing, fee information, or revised Terms on the website, through the checkout flow, in your account, or otherwise in connection with future orders.
Unless otherwise required by law, RedBox Rx is not obligated to obtain additional consent from you before applying updated fees or charges to future orders processed after the effective date of the updated pricing or revised Terms.
5. No Health Insurance Accepted
RedBox Rx does not bill commercial health insurance, is not in-network with any commercial health insurance plan, and is not enrolled with any federal or state health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid. You are responsible for paying for all products and services you purchase through RedBox Rx at the time of purchase.
You may submit your receipt from RedBox Rx to your health insurance plan, health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or similar account for possible reimbursement or qualified medical expense treatment. You are solely responsible for determining whether a particular purchase is reimbursable or eligible under your plan or account, for any documentation your plan or account administrator requires, and for any tax consequences of seeking reimbursement. RedBox Rx makes no representations or guarantees that any insurer, plan, or account administrator will accept a RedBox Rx receipt or approve reimbursement. RedBox Rx does not provide tax, accounting, or insurance advice.
If you are enrolled in Medicare Part D, you agree that you will not count any amount you pay to RedBox Rx, or any associated costs, toward your Medicare Part D true out-of-pocket (“TrOOP”) costs or submit any RedBox Rx purchase to your Medicare Part D plan for TrOOP credit. This restriction is specific to Medicare Part D TrOOP accumulation and does not limit your ability to submit RedBox Rx purchases to commercial insurance, HSA, FSA, or other accounts as described above.
You may pay for products and services purchased through RedBox Rx using a health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or similar tax-advantaged account, where supported at checkout. You are solely responsible for determining whether a particular purchase is a qualified medical expense under your account and applicable tax law, and for any tax consequences of using HSA or FSA funds for RedBox Rx purchases. RedBox Rx does not provide tax advice and makes no representations regarding the eligibility of any product or service for HSA, FSA, or other reimbursement.
6. Automatic Refills and Treatment Management
When a prescription is written for you with refills available and you elect to fill the prescription through RedBox Rx, you expressly authorize RedBox Rx and its payment processor to automatically charge your payment method on file and ship each refill on the scheduled refill date shown in your RedBox Rx account, until you stop the automatic refill through your account. If you do not wish to receive a refill, it is your responsibility to stop the refill through your RedBox Rx account in accordance with this section. You acknowledge that each refill processed before you have stopped or delayed the refill is an authorized charge.
RedBox Rx will automatically charge your payment method and arrange shipment of refills in accordance with the refill schedule associated with your treatment, unless and until you delay or stop refills through your RedBox Rx account at least forty-eight (48) hours before the next scheduled refill date.
You are not obligated to purchase future refills. However, if you do not wish to receive a refill, you must delay or stop the refill in the treatment section of your account at least forty-eight (48) hours before the next scheduled refill date. To cancel your prescription refills (auto-refills), visit the treatments section of your account and click the button that says, “Stop Automatic Refills.” This will cancel all future refills from automatically being filled and shipped to you.
You are solely responsible for managing your treatments through your account. If a medication is discontinued, no longer wanted, no longer appropriate, or otherwise should not be refilled, it is your responsibility to stop or delay the automatic refill at least forty-eight (48) hours before the next scheduled refill date.
Any reminder, refill notice, billing reminder, or other communication RedBox Rx may send is provided as a courtesy only and does not alter your responsibility to manage your account and treatment settings.
Once payment has been processed by RedBox Rx for a refill, a refill order may no longer be cancelled, modified, refunded, or delayed except as required by law or expressly approved by RedBox Rx in its sole discretion.
7. Shipping Address and Account Updates
It is your responsibility to maintain accurate and complete shipping information in your account.
Submission of an address update request to RedBox Rx via the “Request Profile Update” option will be processed by RedBox Rx as quickly as reasonably possible but may take up to five (5) business days to take effect. RedBox Rx will ship orders to the address listed in your account at the time payment is processed.
If you submit an address update request shortly before a refill or order is scheduled to process, RedBox Rx does not guarantee that the new address will be applied to that order.
RedBox Rx is not responsible for shipping to an incorrect or outdated address if that address appears in your account at the time payment is processed, including where such issue results from duplicate accounts, incomplete profile updates, or inaccurate account information.
8. Shipping, Delivery, and Carrier Delays
Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless otherwise expressly required by law.
RedBox Rx is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, losses, or other shipping issues arising from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated shipping addresses; carrier delays; weather events or other force majeure events; inability of the carrier to access the delivery location; refusal of delivery; acts or omissions of the carrier; theft after delivery; or any other circumstance outside RedBox Rx’s reasonable control. Unless we state otherwise in writing, risk of loss or damage to a product passes to you upon our delivery of the product to our designated carrier.
Selection or purchase of expedited shipping constitutes selection of a shipping method only and does not guarantee delivery by any particular date or time.
RedBox Rx reserves the right to change the standard shipping method, shipping carrier, or fulfillment method at any time without prior notice.
An order confirmed by the carrier as delivered to the shipping address listed in your account will be deemed delivered as addressed and is not eligible for refund or replacement.
9. Returned-to-Sender Orders
Orders returned to sender for any reason may incur a reprocessing fee, return-handling fee, restocking fee, additional shipping fee, or similar charge, to the extent permitted by law.
If an order is returned to sender, it is your responsibility to contact RedBox Rx customer support (see “Contact Information” below) to request reshipment, if reshipment is available and legally permitted. RedBox Rx may require payment of additional applicable shipping charges, reprocessing fees, or other charges before reshipping any returned order.
If RedBox Rx receives a returned order and you do not contact RedBox Rx within thirty (30) days after RedBox Rx receives the returned order, the contents may be destroyed to the extent permitted by law and will not be eligible for refund, replacement, credit, or reshipment.
10. Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of prescription products and applicable legal, safety, and regulatory restrictions, RedBox Rx does not accept returns or exchanges of prescription products. Prescription products cannot be returned for resale or reuse. Except as otherwise expressly stated in these Terms or required by law, all sales are final and orders and fees are non-refundable once processed.
10.1. Provider Visit and Consultation Fees
Provider visit fees, consultation fees, and similar service fees are charged for the time, review, and professional services of licensed third-party medical providers and generally are not refundable once the visit or review has been completed.
For qualifying completed initial or follow-up visits in which the third-party medical provider does not prescribe treatment, RedBox Rx may issue a refund of the provider fee in accordance with the applicable program terms or internal refund practices, except where otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
10.2. Scheduled Video Visits
Scheduled video visits may be cancelled for a refund only if cancelled at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment time, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
Missed appointments, no-shows, and cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment are not eligible for refund and cannot be rescheduled. If you miss your scheduled appointment or cancel less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment, you must complete a new assessment, make an additional payment, and schedule a new appointment time to receive treatment.
10.3. Prescription Orders
Once a prescription order has been processed, filled, prepared for shipment, shipped, or confirmed by the carrier as delivered to the address provided in your account, the order is not eligible for cancellation, refund, replacement, or return, except as required by law or expressly approved by RedBox Rx in its sole discretion.
Orders confirmed by the carrier as delivered to the address listed in your account at the time the payment was made are not eligible for refund or replacement, even if you claim non-receipt.
Orders shipped to an incorrect address due to inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information in your account at the time the payment was made, or due to the existence of multiple patient accounts, are not eligible for refund or replacement.
The foregoing does not limit your right to report a dispensing or order-fulfillment error in accordance with the “Timeframe to Report Issues” section below.
10.4. Returned-to-Sender Orders
Returned-to-sender orders are not eligible for refund solely because they were returned by the carrier. Any reshipment is subject to these Terms, applicable law, and payment of any applicable fees.
10.5. Timeframe to Report Issues
You must inspect each shipment promptly upon delivery. If the medication, strength, dose, or quantity dispensed does not match your prescription or order, or if any item is missing, expired, or visibly defective as dispensed, you must notify RedBox Rx via email at [email protected] within seven (7) calendar days after delivery and include clear photographs of the product, labeling, and packaging. If you do not report the issue and provide the required photographs within this seven (7) day window, RedBox Rx is not obligated to replace, credit, refund, or otherwise remedy the issue.
This section does not apply to shipping, transit, or delivery issues, including damage in transit, loss in transit, theft after delivery, or carrier misdelivery, which you must address directly with the carrier. If you suspect the wrong medication, strength, or dose has been dispensed, do not use the product; retain it with all packaging and contact RedBox Rx immediately.
Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived by contract.
10.6. RedBox Rx Discretion
Any refund, credit, replacement, or exception not otherwise required by law is granted solely at RedBox Rx’s discretion.
11. Billing Concerns; Resolution Before Disputes
If you believe a charge from RedBox Rx is incorrect or unauthorized, you agree to contact RedBox Rx customer support and attempt to resolve the issue with RedBox Rx before initiating a chargeback, billing dispute, or claim with your bank, card issuer, or payment provider. RedBox Rx will work with you in good faith to investigate and, where appropriate, correct any billing error.
If you initiate a chargeback or other billing dispute against RedBox Rx without first attempting to resolve the issue with RedBox Rx, or for a charge that you authorized in accordance with these Terms of Sale, RedBox Rx may, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, suspend or terminate your account, cancel pending orders, refuse to provide further services to you, and pursue recovery of any amounts owed. Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived by contract, including your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 1666-1666j.
12. Program-Specific Terms
Certain products, services, or treatment programs may be subject to additional or separate pricing, billing, shipping, cancellation, refill, or program terms presented at the time of purchase or enrollment. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and valid program-specific terms, the program-specific terms will control solely with respect to that program.
13. Changes to These Terms
RedBox Rx may update these Terms from time to time in its discretion. When changes are made, RedBox Rx will update the Effective Date above.
Your placement of an order, payment for a prescription fill, acceptance of a refill, or continued use of RedBox Rx services after the Effective Date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
